INSIDE LUKE RYAN’s BITTER BATTLE WITH ZAC BROWN

LUKE BRYAN sold nearly 2 million copies of his No. 1 hit “That’s My Kind of Night,” but he took it on the chin when his fellow country music star Zac Brown called it the worst song he’s ever heard.

Last fall, Brown, 35, the leader of the Zac Brown Band, blasted modern country music by saying: “If I hear one more tailgate in the moonlight, daisy duke song, I’m gonna throw up.” Then he named names.

“I love Luke Bryan, and he’s had some great songs, but this new song is the worst song I’ve ever heard,” he said.

While a source says 37-year-old Bryan “was absolutely floored and embarrassed” by the comment, it was his good friend Jason Aldean who really lashed out.

“Trust me when I tell you that nobody gives a s*** what you think,” Aldean posted on the Internet after Brown’s comment surfaced.

But Bryan, whose light-hearted music has made him one of country’s biggest stars, showed his diplomatic side – at least in public.

As hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley made jokes about the Bryan-Brown feud at November’s Country Music Association awards, Bryan stood up on camera, walked down the aisle and wrapped Brown in a bear hug.

Still, the pair aren’t likely to be sending each other Christmas cards.

“Luke was incredibly hurt by Zac’s comment,” said the source. “And while he keeps a smiling face publicly, he’s got a long memory. And he hopes every song he releases tops Zac’s songs to show him the public, not Zac, has the final say.”
