Reality TV queen KIM KARDASHIAN ‘was really in it for the money’, say insiders.
That’s what friends are saying about reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s wedding to pro basketball player Kris Humphries.
Kim made almost $18 million off her wedding from exclusive photo deals and interviews. And now, The ENQUIRER has uncovered a photo of the reality TV sexpot wearing her $2 million engagement ring way back in 2007 – proving the couple’s 72-day marriage was nothing but a publicity ploy!
“For Kim, the wedding was ‘just business’ – big business!” a source told The ENQUIRER. “She wanted to make a bundle of loot off the affair, and she did.”
The couple tied the knot in a lavish Aug. 20 ceremony that was broadcast in a four-hour, two – part TV spectacular titled “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event” on the E! network.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Italy, but by the time Kim filed for divorce on Oct. 31, the couple “had a marriage in name only,” the source divulged.
“The sad thing is that Kris was really in love with Kim. But he was tired of Kim’s constant plotting to make money off their marriage.
“At first, he went along with TV cameras delving into their lives. But Kris soon realized that practically everything was for sale with Kim, and he quickly soured on the whole thing.”
Kim sold the wedding, the honeymoon and was planning to sell stories about their lives for years to come. The final straw came when Kim, 31, told Kris, 26, that she was making a deal to sell a story about a possible pregnancy.
“Kris FLIPPED out!” said the source. “He told Kim that he wasn’t going to be part of her scheme.
“A few days later, they went out to dinner and Kris asked Kim if she wanted their marriage to work. But she wouldn’t give him a straight answer.
“Instead, she kept saying that this is the business she’s in, and he knew what he was getting into when he married her.
“Kris threatened to expose the entire Kardashian clan as nothing but money-making frauds. Kim blew up and a huge fight ensued.”
