IDOL WINNER SPARKS SILENCED

description

Jordin Sparks, the reigning American Idol winner, faces a potential career-ending throat injury.

Sparks, 18, who canceled three shows this weekend, is suffering from an "acute vocal cord hemorrhage."

"Because of the risk of permanent vocal chord damage, Sparks has been ordered to strict vocal rest and will not be able to perform anywhere until her condition improves," said a spokesman.

Medical sources describe "bleeding in the vocal as a serious problem."

One wonders if Sparks will ever sing again.
