BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 hunk IAN ZIERING’s celebrity guest gig as a Chippendales stripper has turned him into a bona fide gay icon!
The 49-year-old actor is a happily married father of two.
BUT he’s shed 30 pounds of flab, developed six-pack abs and gained a huge gay following while strutting his stuff in Las Vegas, says a source.
“Ian has been performing for women only, but his amazing body has become an Internet sensation, and most of the attention he’s getting is from gay men,” a source close to the actor told The ENQUIRER.
Guys approach Ian assuming that he’s gay, and with his wife’s help, he’s learned to be gracious about it. But Ian loves the attention so much that he’s thinking of doing a ‘gay-friendly’ how-to stripper video.”
Ziering became a household name playing rich kid Steve Sanders on the popular ’90s series. He divorced Playboy Playmate Nikki Ziering in 2002 and married Erin Ludwig, a nurse, in 2010. They have two young daughters.
He was a semifinalist on Season 4 of “Dancing with the Stars,” and with his career sputtering along he decided to take on Chippendales’ offer of a month-long celebrity gig, like Jeff Timmons of the boy band 98 Degrees once did. So he hit the stage at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in tight black pants, white cuffs and a bow tie.
“Ian’s always been comfortable with his female fans, so ripping his shirt off for the ladies was no big deal for him,” added the source.
“But he never knows what to expect when meeting fans anymore. Straight guys ask about his workout routine, and gay men come up to flirt with him.”
