Christian (Batman) Bale, 34, has been questioned and released by Scotland Yard after his mother and sister alleged he assaulted them before the UK preem of The Dark Knight.
According to media, Bale’s mother Jenny, 61, sister Sharon, 40, who lives in Dorset made the accusation at a police in Hampshire who referred them to the Metropolitan Police.
Bale was apprehended at the Dorchester Hotel by police who asked the actor to meet with them.
Bale was then allowed to attend not only The Dark Knight red carpet opening but 4 press conferences.
"A 34-year-old man attended a London police station on Tuesday by appointment and was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault," a Met spokesman confirmed.
Bale’s barristers issued this statement:
"Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister."
"Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police.
"At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."
Wonder what Bale’s step-mum, feminist icon, Gloria Steinem, will say about all this?
