HODA KOTB has finally lifted the veil on the identity of her secret boyfriend – and now her best pal and “Today” co-host Kathie Lee Gifford believes she should don a bridal veil as well!
Kathie Lee is riding hard on Hoda, 50, to accept a marriage proposal from Joel Schiffman, the 57-year-old financier who popped the question to the newscaster in early June, sources revealed to The National ENQUIRER.
Joel had only been referred to as “Boots” by the host for nearly two years on the show.
“Hoda declared ‘never again’ following her divorce in 2007,” said a source. “But Kathie Lee is doing everything to push Hoda toward the altar. She’s even volunteered her home as the wedding site!”
The peer pressure left Hoda to joke: “Kathie’s more interested in my love life than I am!
“She loves Kathie Lee, but everyone knows Hoda’s co-host has a meddlesome streak,” said the source.
“Hoda’s just hoping Joel will stick around, with or without a wedding band.”
