New mom Hoda Kotb won’t be toasting the arrival of her adopted daughter, Haley Joy.
She’s set the sauce aside — to save both their lives!
Hoda and Kathie Lee Gifford had turned the fourth hour of NBC’s “Today” show into their personal “Happy Hour.”
But experts consulted by The National ENQUIRER believe booze and babies go together about as well as President Donald Trump and his former foe Hillary Clinton!
“If Hoda was even slightly intoxicated around her infant, it would numb her ability to be able to properly respond to the baby’s needs,” said noted mental health expert Dr. Gilda Carle.
Other experts agreed that drinking and parenting are never a comfortable combination.
“Rearing a child should never give way to near-intoxication — no matter what the circumstances,” warned Dr. Stuart Fischer.
Now, Hoda is going cold turkey to care for her bouncing bundle of Haley Joy, who was born on Valentine’s Day.
“Hoda’s not shirking from her image responsibility, but she’s told producers that she’ll be drinking mocktails from now on!” said an on-set spy.
“Thank God!” said a relieved Dr. Fischer. “The baby’s life depended on it!”
