Parker & Stone regularly lampooned the so-called Church on their irreverent satire SOUTH PARK including depicting John Travolta, Cruise and R. Kelly in the “Trapped In the Closet" Emmy nominated ep (special consultant credited as "John Smith" was ace investigative journo and author Mark Ebner).
Stan was the alleged reborn reincarnation of L. Ron aka “This is What Scientologists Actually Believe”. AND when series regular Chef (the late Issac Hayes) quit the show because he felt offended being a Scientologist — his character met an ignominious end.
