Scandal may have cost MEL GIBSON his highly regarded rep in Hollywood circles, but not his lifestyle.
The Braveheart star, who will soon learn if he’ll be charged for allegedly assaulting baby mamma Oksana Grigorieva, has told a judge overseeing the couple’s bitter custody battle that he blows $600,000 on himself – each month!
RadarOnline.com reports that Mel’s lawyers have detailed in depth his $7.2 million-a-year slush fund as part of their argument in court to limit Oksana’s child support for their infant daughter to $6,000-a-month.
Money was at the center of Wednesday’s marathon court hearing in which the Russkie bombshell requested a judge to increase Mel’s child support payments.
While Oksana claims she should be entitled to more, Mel is insisting some of her expenses – such as bodyguards – are a waste.
Mel’s lawyers are arguing Lucia is a baby and doesn’t need more than the $6,000 he plans to pay, despite it being only 1% of what he shells out on himself each month.
Gibson’s lawyers claim his own expenses are not an extravagance but a necessity – the 7.2 mill is just for the cost of living — not including such luxuries as his private jet.
According to sources, while Mel maintains a lavish lifestyle, he has only forked over $18,000 in child support since December 2009.
In the infamous audio tapes, Mel had claimed the millions he made were gone and he doesn’t have "any (effing) money!"
