TWICE-DIVORCED “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum shot down her hunky beau’s marriage proposal – before he even got a chance to make it, says a close source.
As soon as Heidi got wind that Martin Kirsten – her bodyguard-turned-boyfriend – was planning to put a ring on it this Christmas, she told him to forget about it, the source adds.
“Heidi’s enjoying her relationship with Martin, and she loves the way he makes her and her children feel safe,” revealed a pal. “But right now she likes things just the way they are, and she has no need to become someone’s wife again.”
The 40-year-old former Victoria’s Secret model is worth a whopping $70 million and doesn’t need to marry again – especially to a man whose income comes from her, a source says.
“Heidi isn’t a money snob, but she’s always gone after successful men,” said the pal. “And with four kids to raise, she doesn’t want to risk losing a chunk of her fortune should things not work out again.
“Staying single keeps her in the driver’s seat in this relationship.”
Heidi’s first union to millionaire stylist Ric Pipino lasted from 1997 to 2002, and she was wed to “Kiss from a Rose” singer Seal – whose estimated worth is $15 million – from 2005 to 2012.
She has three children with Seal as well as a 9-year-old daughter with super-rich Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. The leggy German-born blonde began dating Martin just a few months after she filed for divorce from Seal.
“Martin was crushed when she shot him down,” said the pal. “But he loves her so much he’s willing to stick around in case she changes her mind.”
