“Saving Private Ryan” star Ed Burns has tied the knot with supermodel Christy Turlington — but the wedding bells were NOT music to the ears of Ed’s heartbroken former fiancee Heather Graham.
Friends say the “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me” beauty has never gotten over her romance with Ed, which lasted two years and ended in May of 2000.
Heather, 33, was crushed when Ed, 35, and Christy, 34, exchanged vows on June 7 at Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco, say her friends.
“Ed is the one who truly stole her heart,” a friend declared.
“She has always claimed that their relationship was the most intense of her life. Heather took the breakup badly.”
Heather says she is extremely happy with her present boyfriend, “American Pie” producer-director Chris Weitz, her friend added.
“But she always thought Ed would come back to her.”
