HEATH HEROES SAVE FLICK

description

Contrary to popular belief, The Dark Knight is not Heath Ledger‘s last film.

At the time of his death from an accidental OD, Ledger had been hard at work on Terry Gilliam‘s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

Gilliam hired actors Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law to play different aspects of the character that Ledger initiated.

"I’ve seen it and it works and it’s great," Gilliam told the BBC. "It’s the last chance to see Heath and he’s brilliant.

"(Filming) stopped for a bit until the three heroes as they’re now known — Law,  Depp and  Farrell — came to the rescue and finished off Heath’s part.

"So you ended up with four actors playing one character."

No doubt the premise helps: Heath’s character, a mysterious outsider,  traverses time and space  to save a girl.

Ledger and Gilliam had previously teamed on The Brothers Grimm (pictured).
