Michelle Williams, the late Heath Ledger’s ex, has finally found love elsewhere.
Since Heath departed this dimension and is now everywhere as The Joker in The Dark Knight, Michelle has found solace with new man — director Spike Jonze.
The former Dawson’s Creek star met Jonze when she auditioned for him in an aborted version of Where the Wild Things Are in 2006.
Last year they worked together on Spike’s produced flick Synecdoche, New York and were seen at Cannes together.
Reportedly, they struck up a friendship while Williams was still with Ledger. But now with Jonze divorced from fellow director Sofia Coppola, things have been moving forward romantically as the two were spotted with Michelle’s 2 year old daughter Matilda leaving on a jet plane to Oregon.
"Having been friends first, they totally got to know each other first, without romance getting in the way, and Spike has been very supportive during this most difficult time for Michelle," a source told UK tab Daily Mail.
