Halle Berry is engaged to Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, who has already fathered her one month year-old daughter.
Sources say Aubry has given his betrothed an engagement ring that once belonged to his grandma.
"Gabriel felt the time was right to propose," the source said. "He gave her the family heirloom because he wanted to show her how much she means to him,"
Halle first sported the ring at the Revlon/Run for Women event in Los Angeles.
The X-Men thesp was previously married to singer Eric Benét and baseballer David Justice.
