WHEN the going gets tough, ANGUS T. JONES starts knitting.

That’s what embattled young “Two and a Half Men” star Angus T. Jones did to reduce his stress last year after a YouTube video of him bashing the sitcom went viral.

In the video, he called the show that made him a multimillionaire “filth” and urged viewers to “please stop watching it.”

A set insider told The ENQUIRER that the 19-year-old began taking  lessons at La Knitterie Parisienne in Studio City, Calif., to calm his nerves after his stunning meltdown.

He was following the lead of other young stars, like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Dakota Fanning, who found solace studying there.

“AT FIRST, ANGUS DIDN’T WANT TO GO because he thought that knitting was too ‘girlish,’” the source explained. “He figured he’d get teased a lot by his buddies.

“But then he said, ‘Who cares what other people think?’

“Angus has really learned to relax and become more grounded since he took up the craft. He also has more sweaters than he’ll ever be able to wear!”
