GRAMMYs: HIGH & LOW NOTES

description

Lady Antebellum was the biggest winner at the 53rd Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. The country pop trio grabbed five of the music industry’s leading awards, including the trophies for record of the year and song of the year for its crossover smash “Need You Now.”

Other winners included Arcade Fire (album of the year), jazz singer Esperanza Spalding (best new artist) and Eminem (best rap solo performance and best rap album).

Highlights of the evening included performances by Gwyneth Paltrow with Cee Lo, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Barbra Streisand and Mick Jagger. Lady Gaga stole the show though when she arrived in an egg-like shell and then was “birthed” during her performance of “Born This Way.”
