In what was one of the best kept secrets of the teen beat CW soap Gossip Girl was: which character was going to come out of the closet. And surprise – it has no history in the best selling series of books the show is inspired by.
The Gossip Girl Gay Guy in question is none other than Eric van der Woodsen played by Connor Paolo, the younger brother of reigning rich bitch, Serena (Blake Lively).
Well maybe, it’s not such a surprise as Eric hasn’t been involved in any of the show’s steamy couplings.
Yet.
In the book series penned by Cecily von Ziesgar, it is Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) who is more than bi-curious. He’s a “Big Gay Al.”
But on the series, Dan is hetero . . . for now. After all, it’s just the first season.
