GOODBYE CHARLIE: JOHN FORSYTHE DEAD

Charlie's Angels and Dynasty star John Forsythe is gone at 92.
Forsythe's publicist said the much beloved silver haired star died yesterday from pneumonia following a year long battle with cancer in Santa Ynez.
John first engaged TV viewers as the titular dad in Bachelor Father during with the 1950s before his off screen voice ordered his Angels into action as Charlie during the 1970s.
Despite a long career on both stage, screen and radio Fosythe is best known as the scheming oil magnate Blake Carrington on the prime time soap Dynasty in the 1980s.
Among Forsythe's many films were The Captive City, The Glass Web, Escape from Fort Bravo and Alfred Hitchcock's The Trouble with Harry
John also starred in the notorious Kitten With a Whip, as he was menaced by sex bomb Ann- Margaret and her seedy beatnik pals.
He also reprised his role in both Charlie's Angels films.
"I figure there are a few actors like Marlon Brando, George C. Scott and Laurence Olivier who have been touched by the hand of God.
"I'm in the next bunch," the modest star said in an interview.
Forsythe's legion of fans worldwide would disagree.
