The 2008 Golden Globes were announced at a subdued press conference by entertainment reporters on Sunday night.
The film Atonement was named best drama while Sweeney Todd won for best comedy. Ratatouille took home the award for best animated film. Johnny Depp, Daniel-Day Lewis, Cate Blanchett and Javier Bardem took top honors in the acting categories.
On the television side, Mad Men was named best drama and Extras was hailed as the best comedy. David Duchovny, Tina Fey, Glenn Close and Jeremy Piven were also honored.
