Frost/Nixon and Benjamin Button received noms in the same 5 categories – Best Picture – Drama, Best Actor (Frank Langella and Brad Pitt), Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Score.
Tom Cruise got Best Supporting nom for his hilarious turn as Hollywood producer in Tropic Thunder. The late Heath Ledger got a nom for his Joker in The Dark Knight.
The Miley Cyrus-John Travolta duet from Bolt was touted for Best Song.
HBO dominated the TV side with multiple noms for John Adams and Entourage as did AMC’s Mad Men.
