Reportedly, STAR TREK’s SULU and internet meme king GEORGE TAKEI is fighting skin cancer.
Takei, 77, best known for his role as Hikaru Sulu in classic “'Star Trek” TV series and movie – has revealed he had a chunk of his cheek last week after his doc detected early signs of skin cancer.
According to The UK Sun newspaper, George said: "I went to my doctor for my physical last week and he detected an early skin cancer here.
“He cut it out and that's why I'm wearing this."
Takei was at the Voices on Point charity gala sporting a bandage on his face where the pernicious skin cells were extracted.
Takei also joked the wound had nothing to do with his husband of six years, Brad Altman.
George quipped: "Let me assure you, my husband did not knock me out."
