As GEORGE CLOONEY'S marriage limps past the 200-day mark, The National ENQUIRER has uncovered how a man has come between the actor and his gorgeous wife, AMAL!
He’s supermodel Cindy Crawford’s hubby, Rande Gerber – and insiders said his “bromance” with George, 53, could lead to a blockbuster $220 million Clooney divorce!
The “Gravity” hunk has already shoehorned Rande, 53, into several celebrations with his bride, including their first Christmas and Amal’s birthday!
The pattern repeats George’s bad-boy antics as a Hollywood bachelor, and our well-placed source said no one’s to blame but the star himself!
“George needs to realize he’s married,” our source said.
“Marriage is a commitment – you’re either in or out!”
Another source said: “George wants them to be a happy foursome, but Amal thinks Rande is a frat boy, and she hasn’t clicked with Cindy at all.”
Tensions between the pair boiled over when the Oscar winner prepped lawyer Amal, 37, for the weeks-long motorcycle jaunt he’s taken with Rande for the past 15 years.
“Amal wanted to know why the trip was a priority when they have so much trouble spending time together,” our source said.
“She was hurt.”
Despite their recent public show of togetherness in NYC while Amal guest-lectured at Columbia University and George filmed “Money Monster,” the marriage has been a logistical nightmare!
According to an insider, “Money Monster” films only Wednesdays through Sundays.
There’s no night filming, leaving George with plenty of free time to spend with Amal.
“But since Amal is so busy, he’s been hanging out with Rande,” the insider said.
To make it worse, “Amal hopes to come home from a long day of work to find her husband waiting for her. When he’s not, they bicker back and forth in a vicious circle.”
When the couple can relax, George inevitably squeezes Rande and Cindy into the mix, our source said.
The newlyweds spent their first Christmas and New Year’s with Rande and Cindy in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Photos from the trip show the guys knocking back booze and rapt in conversation, while Amal and Cindy stared vacantly into space.
And instead of dinner for two on Amal’s birthday Feb. 3, “George invited his longtime besties to [her birthday] dinner!” said the source.
Despite that, George spent part of Valentine’s Day weekend with his best bud.
After a sushi dinner with Amal at Asanebo in Studio City on Saturday night, he hightailed it to Rande and Cindy’s Malibu pad by Monday to party!
Since George has been working in New York, The ENQUIRER informant added: “Amal says he stays out too late. George counters by saying that some nights, he stays out later than others because he doesn’t have an early call on the set.
“He’s also reminded Amal that he lost his best bud, Brad Pitt, after Angelina Jolie turned him into a stay-at-home dad. George has vowed to not let that happen, and he reminds Amal that she’s always invited.”
Meanwhile, Rande and George have been pals since they met 20 years ago and their bromance has endured George’s endless parade of girlfriends.
“George’s women come and go, but Rande always manages to survive,” said our source.
