Gorgeous GEORGE CLOONEY called as defense witness in bombshell Italian sex trial scandal!
Silvio Berlusconi the embattled prime minister of Italy has summoned George Clooney to be a witness for the defense when he goes on trial next month.
The media mogul and Italo politico kingpin stands accused of sleeping with an under aged prostitute, according to legal documents.
And George is more than befuddled – he's downright flabbergasted.
"It seems odd since I've only met Berlusconi once and that was in an attempt to get aid into Darfur," Clooney said.
The Italian PM is accused of having sex with a sultry Moroccan night-club dancer Karima el Mahroug, AKA "Ruby", when she was 17, below the legal age for prostitution in Italy.
The trial, which begins April 6, prosecutors will accuse Berlusconi of having had sex with a "significant number" of prostitutes during wild parties held at his private villa near Milan.
Ruby has told prosecutors during an intense grilling that Clooney and his GF, Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis, were among the guests at one of Berlusconi's parties.
Canalis has denied the hooker's claim.
Four government ministers, including Foreign Minister Franco Frattini and Equal Opportunities Minister Mara Carfagna, a former topless model, have been called to testify in addition to George Clooney and other top Italo TV and film personalities.
Berlusconi has denied ever paying for sex and says his parties were normal, "convivial" dinners.
