FURIOUS FIGHT OVER JAMES BROWN’S MILLIONS

MICHAEL JACKSON mourns JAMES BROWN

With the new James Brown biopic now in theaters, The ENQUIRER can reveal that a family feud continues to rage over the R&B singer’s fortune almost eight years after his death!

The battle over the Godfather of Soul’s estate – estimated to be worth from $5 million to $100 million – began days after he died of congestive heart failure at age 73 on Christmas Day 2006.

Sources say the estate’s value will most likely skyrocket thanks to the new film “Get On Up,” which stars actor Chadwick Boseman – who played baseball great Jackie Robinson in the biopic “42” – as James.

As The ENQUIRER has reported, the litigation that erupted after the “I Feel Good” singer’s passing is ongoing.

“This is the most screwed up thing I have ever experienced in my entire life!” James’ longtime attorney and friend, Albert “Buddy” Dallas, has told The ENQUIRER.

James’ will initially directed that most of his loot go to charity, but fights over his assets exploded among his six children and Tomi Rae Hynie, a former backup singer who claimed she was married to the “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag” singer.

In 2009, a South Carolina judge approved a settlement that gave nearly half of James’ estate to his charitable trust, a quarter to Tomi Rae and the remainder to his kids.

But a court tossed out that settlement last year, and the money battle over the fortune of the icon nicknamed “The Hardest Working Man in Show Business” continues.
