FORMER ‘IDOL’ CONTESTANT COMES OUT OF THE CLOSET!

Frenchie Davis

FRENCHIE DAVIS, the "American Idol" contestant who was disqualified from the show in its second season for having racy photographs on the web, has publicly declared she is a lesbian.

"I wasn't out before the relationship, but I wasn't in," she told the St. Louis Post Dispatch. "I dated men and women, though lesbians weren't feeling the bisexual thing. Now I'm in love with a woman I think I can be with forever."

"Frenchie is very happy," a close friend told the ENQUIRER.

"Frenchie has never been ashamed of or tried to hide who she is but she thought it was important to just reveal it, get it out and maybe she can be an example for other young people who are struggling with their own identities."

She will be performing at the Chicago Pride Fest this weekend. "I love the gay boys," Frenchie said. "They have that awesome, masculine energy, but there's also something else going on as well."

The singer has kept busy since her days on "Idol," doing theater and also appearing on NBC's hit The Voice.
