SARAH FERGUSON, The Duchess of York, caught on tape, trying to sell ex-hubby PRINCE ANDREW’s dirty linen in shocking video.
In a video posted on the UK tab News of the World‘s website, Sarah Ferguson seems to ask for $40,000 in cash and $718,500 by wire transfer, claiming she could intro the undercover journo Mazher Mahmood to the prince.
In a statement released by Buckingham Place, Prince Andrew "categorically" denied any knowledge of the meeting between the Duchess of York and the News of the World.
"I very deeply regret the situation and the embarrassment caused," Ferguson said.
"It is true that my financial situation is under stress however, that is no excuse for a serious lapse in judgment and I am very sorry that this has happened," she added.
After Ferguson’s company Hartmoor folded last year, the former wife of Andrew had said in an earlier interview with the paper she was so broke, she didn’t have "a pot to piss in."
After a decade long marriage, Fergie and Andrew divorced amicably in 1996.
"Five hundred thousand pounds when you can, to me … open doors," she said in the video shot at a plush London apartment, before shaking hands with the reporter who posed as a wealthy businessman.
"Then you open up all the channels whatever you need, whatever you want.
"We can do so much."
