Bad enough her death is back-paged by Michael Jackon’s This is IT drop dead scenario but now Farrah Fawcett has been ignored by the Oscars as stars – and her legion of fans – are infuriated!
The snub sparked speculation Farrah was omitted because of her predominantly TV career with online critics slamming the AMPAS for not adding her to the memorial montage clip fest.
Jane Fonda Tweeted "Where was Farrah Fawcett? She should have been included."
Newly vocal crit Roger Ebert raged "No Farrah in the memorial. They have a whole lot of ‘splaining to do."
And Star Jones is livid the blonde tressed beauty was not included, despite appearing in Logan’s Run, Saturn 3, The Cannonball Run and The Apostle and was even nominated for a Golden Globe (Extremities).
Jones Tweeted angrily: "Fyi (for your information)… Farrah had a very diverse career… that included Broadway, TV & Film. She even received a Golden Globe nom."
Finally Farrah’s ex Ryan O’Neal sounded off to RadarOnline.com, “Both Tatum and I were very upset and we intend to write a letter to the Academy to try and get an explanation for this oversight on their behalf."
On the defensive Bruce Davis, the executive director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, claimed, "It is the single most troubling element of the Oscar show every year. Because more people die each year than can possibly be included in that segment. You are dropping people who the public knows. It’s just not comfortable."
Yet, they DID include Michael Jackson who’s entire cinematic output consisted of just one film –The Wiz prior to This Is It.
ALSO DISSED: Golden Girl Bea Arthur who had an extensive film career including Lovers and Other Strangers (1970), which was nominated for 3 Oscars!
AND: War of the Worlds (both versions) star Gene Barry! WTF?!
