Disney star LEE THOMPSON YOUNG who played “The Famous Jett Jackson” has killed himself at age 29 with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at 29.

Young's publicist has confirmed the suicide: "It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning … Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed."

Young had been working on TNT’s “Rizzoli & isles” but when he didn’t show up to the set, staffers called the landlord to investigate.

Cops say the landlord opened the apartment and found Young of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Young is best known for the 2004 movie "Friday Night Lights" playing a half-back.

He also appeared on "Smallville" as the JLA's CYBORG and ABC/Disney's "Flash Forward". Ironically, his character commited suicide on the shortlived SF series to alter the curse of future events he had witnessed in his flash forward. Didn't work.
