The Wall Street Journal reports that Google Inc. and Facebook Inc. have held low-level talks with Twitter Inc. about purchasing the celeb friendly PR happy social networking service.
Twitter’s estimated worth is between $8 billion to $10 billion, sources told WSJ and now key money men have been salivating at the thought of reaping a financial whirlwind via social networking services in recent months.
Facebook is said to have received $500 million in new funding last month.
Twitter and Facebook declined to comment to the WSJ report. Nor did Google respond to messages seeking comment.
Expect tech-savvy gizmodo king Kutcher to Tweet, post and embed his salient thoughts sometime soon.
