Ricki Lake’s marriage blew up when, sources claim, her husband demanded an open relationship, The National ENQUIRER can exclusively reveal.
The two are now living apart, and according to their pre-nup, Ricki, 46, will have to shell out just $150,000 to divorce second hubby Christian Evans, a jewelry designer.
The couple wed in April 2012, and sources say trouble began brewing shortly before Ricki’s birthday on Sept. 21 when Christian, 43, took an unexpected trip to the Spanish party island of Ibiza.
“He called her to say he was staying a few more days,” said an insider. When Ricki told him that he had to come back, he demanded an ‘open marriage.’ She freaked out. It was like he was basically telling her he wanted to sleep around!”
By mid-October, Ricki had kicked him out of their Marina del Rey, Calif., condo, and consulted a divorce attorney, sources say.
In the past, the “Hairspray” star has gushed over Evans, saying: “I’m totally in love. He is a nobody, but he’s a somebody to me. He’s everything to me.”On Oct. 16, Ricki appeared to acknowledge the split by sharing on her Facebook page: “The Best Part Of Life Is Realizing Why It’s Better That Things Didn’t Work Out – The greatest moments of clarity in your life will come when you look back at your journey.”
That same day, Christian posted to Facebook that he “Moved to Outer Space.”
In reality, sources say he’s shacked up with an ex lover. Meanwhile, the former talk show host and mom of two “is completely devastated,” said the insider.
