PATRICK SWAYZE's beloved mother PATSY, 86, has died at her Simi Valley home last evening, THE ENQUIRER has learned.
Patsy suffered a massive stroke just days before the 4th anniversary of her son Patrick’s death who had passed Sept. 14, 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Family insiders said that Patsy was taken home to set up a hospice for the former dancer turned choreographer.
“At this point it’s just a matter of a short time before Patsy expires. She probably won’t last out the week. One bright spot is that her chain stroke breathing, which is a gasping for air, has subsided.
"Since she began receiving hospice care no extraordinary means are being used to keep her alive, including intravenous feeding or oxygen. There is no tube down her throat, but she does have a catheter and a different, thicker tube under her blanket . She’s receiving a morphine drip to keep her comfortable and is on the edge of being in a comatose state. She has given instructions that she doesn’t want to be resuscitated," the family insider told The ENQUIRER.
"Patsy’s been ready to go for a long time, especially after "Buddy" (her husband) had died and Vicky (her daughter) committed suicide. Some family members are flying in tomorrow to be by her side when the end comes. Her wishes are to be buried at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Simi Valley. That’s where Buddy and Vicky are also interred.”
At Patsy’s bedside holding her hands were sons Sean and Donnie Swayze and daughter-in-law Jami as she passed peacefully at 8:33 PM PDT, the family insider told The ENQUIRER.
Condolences to the Swayze Family.
