As The ENQUIRER reported previously Angie was brought to “near collapse,” according to a source, when “a stunning “paramedic’s report,” obtained by The ENQUIRER, about a 1991 incident involving Jon and the death of a gorgeous young woman.
It’s a secret that sources say 39-year-old Angelina’s tried to keep hidden for years!
At the time of the tragedy, Angelina was 15.
The drama began with her acclaimed actor dad helped a female friend through a painful divorce, sources say.
Jone allowed the woman –Julie “Cindy” Jones – to live temporarily in an apartment he was renting near his Hollywood home.
Then, in the early morning hours of March 11, 1991, tragedy struck – and Jon’s friend apparently took her life with a bullet to her chest.
Voight was one of the last people to speak to Cindy, and according to authorities, the Oscar winner discovered the 33-year-old beauty on the floor of his apartment in a pool of blood.
The source told The ENQUIRER: “Now, decades later, scandal is tearing apart the family – and both Brad and Jon are stunned because it’s brought back painful memories for Angelina.
“While Cindy apparently left no suicide note, people are asking what the real motive could have been for killing herself?” a source said.
In official docs obtained by The ENQUIRER, Jon Voight was named in an LAPD “death investigation” report and a medical examiner’s file on the 1991 tragedy.
A police report said a “radio call” from Jon first alerted authorities to Cindy Jones’ death, adding “[Jon] advised detectives that the deceased was upset and he let her take his dog for company.”
A pal asked Jon to check in on Cindy, the report stated. The actor then entered the home through an unlocked sliding glass door to look around.
While the report said Jon found his dog, Sally, he didn’t notice the woman on the living room floor. Returning, he found her with “a gunshot wound to her chest.” Jon then “called 911 and waited for the police and paramedics,” the police report said.
The medical examiner’s report cited Jon as a “concerned neighbor.”
Tests later determined the presence of drugs and alcohol in the victim.
Jon told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview “She was a troubled soul and I did try to help her – just like dozens of other people who were suffering that I’ve tried to help.
"It’s a very sad thing that happened. She took her life – and I knew her. The girl tragically killed herself.”
