The ENQUIRER INTERVIEWS The Killer – JERRY LEE LEWIS  — who is as happy as a lark despite claims his brand new 7th wife is a gold digger!

The rock legend, 76, wed Judith Brown, the ex-wife of his cousin Rusty, on March 9 in a small ceremony at his home in Nesbit, Miss.

“I fell in love and it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my entire life,” Jerry – nicknamed The Killer – told The ENQUIRER.

“This is the first normal life I’ve had in 50 years. I love Judith and she loves me. I got nothing to hide. I’m happier than I’ve ever been!”

The fiery piano-pounding entertainer made headlines when news broke of his 1957 marriage to his 13-year-old cousin Myra Brown, Rusty’s older sister. Jerry’s new wife Judith and Rusty divorced in September 2011 after 22 years of marriage.

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, an outraged Rusty charged that Judith was a “gold digger” who divorced him to take Jerry to the cleaners. But both Jerry and Judith claim Rusty is dead wrong.

“Rusty and the family are bitter because Judith makes me happy,” Jerry said.

“They never thought I would have a life again. The family just wants me to keep on working. This is the first time in 50 years that I haven’t worked on the Fourth of July, and that’s because of Judith.”

And Judith, 62, says she certainly didn’t marry Jerry for his money – because he doesn’t have any! “How can I be a gold digger when Jerry has no money?” she noted. “The people in his life have taken it all.”

According to Judith, she got close to Jerry after his manager hired her to tend to him.

“Jerry was very sick, and I helped him get well,” she said. “His manager paid me. I never took any money from Jerry. We fell in love after six months, and we deserve to be left alone by greedy, money-hungry people.”

Judith says she suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, while Jerry is bothered by a bad back after years of performing.

“I am Jerry’s caregiver, but he takes care of me too,” she added. “When I have a bad bout of arthritis, Jerry waits on me. We are caretakers for one another, and I thank God that we found each other.”

Despite his health issues, Jerry vows to perform again – and he has a special message for his fans.

“Get ready,” he said. “The Killer is going to rock! I’ll be coming back to work real soon, and I’m going to be better than ever!”
