COLIN FARRELL has gone from King of the Playboys to Dad of the Year!
The hunky actor has told pals he’s no longer free on weekends for “wine, women and song” because he prefers the company of his two sons – James, 9, and Henry, 3.
The 36-year-old “Dead Man Down” star has worked hard over the past six months finalizing arrangements with the boys’ two moms, Kim Bordenave and Alicja Bachleda- Curus, so he could maximize his time with the youngsters.
Now the Irish heartthrob goes to Los Angeles almost every weekend from wherever he is to spend quality time with the boys. He’s even pared down his schedule to make more room for them, revealed a close friend.
“HE’S REALLY MADE A HUGE EFFORT to make this work,” said the friend.
“And although the boys’ moms have had their fair share of differences with Colin, they are very happy that he’s taking a more active role in raising them.
“With the help of nannies, Colin looks after James and Henry on weekends and says he’s the happiest he’s ever been.”
Colin’s hard partying is legendary even by Hollywood standards, and he has been linked with some of the hottest women on the planet, including his “Alexander” co-star Angelina Jolie, as The ENQUIRER reported.
But now he has matured and says his boys are making him a better man.
The actor’s eldest son James was diagnosed with Angelman syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes intellectual and developmental problems. For Colin, the youngster’s special needs became a turning point in his own hell-raising life.
“What my first son James did was allow me to care for something in this world when I couldn’t care for myself,” confessed Colin. “James saved my life.”
Now clean-living Colin has swapped Guinness beer for green tea and vitamins, and the source says the doting dad even has an upbeat new motto: “Anything for the kids.”
