EVA’S DESPERATE TO OPEN RESTAURANT

description

The Desperate Housewives star is trying to open her own restaurant in Hollywood with club promoter Jonas Lowrance, but 18 months after work started, the building is still an empty shell.

What’s more, her business partner Lowrance has been accused by a former partner of improperly keeping profits from another club he’s been running, the uber-trendy Rok Bar in Miami Beach.

And Eva’s furious because it now appears that the place won’t be open in time for her July wedding to basketball player fiance Tony Parker.

“At first, she wanted to have it open to celebrate her engagement to Tony in November last year, but now it’s doubtful it will be ready for parties after the wedding,” revealed a pal.

Although she got married in Paris, Eva planned to celebrate with her L.A. friends at the new restaurant, which she will call “Beso” – Spanish for “kiss.”

But because work on the place has stalled, Eva has had to suddenly work on fixing the mess.

“Eva put in $250,000 of her own money, but still doesn’t have any restaurant to show for it,” continued the pal. “She’s been forced to arrange business meetings herself, trying to get investors to put up more money to get the restaurant open.”

This isn’t the first time Lowrance has been involved with a celebrity – he worked with Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee to open two clubs called Rok Bar, one in L.A. and one in Miami Beach.

But the clubs have closed and Lowrance is now being sued by another partner at the Miami location, who claims he is owed thousands of dollars by Lowrance.

When contacted by The ENQUIRER, Lowrance explained the hold-up is due to obtaining permits – not money.

“We will open in July,” he said.
