BRAD PITT has given his longtime love ANGELINA JOLIE an engagement ring! Angelina was spotted wearing the bling at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries on Wednesday.
Pitt's manager, Cynthia Pett-Dante, confirmed the news on Friday, saying the engagement "is a promise for the future" but no wedding date has been set. "Their kids are very happy."
A rep for jeweler ROBERT PROCOP says "he did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt," according to reports. Procop has collaborated with the Angelina in the past on the jewelry she wore in The Tourist and her Style of Jolie collection.
"Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina's hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution," Procop says. "The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality."
Jolie and Pitt have previously said they would wait until everyone had equal rights to marry, but Brad admitted to CBS News that they were "getting a lot of pressure from the kids." The couple have six children and have been dating since 2004.
