Bloated pop star BRITNEY SPEARS hopes to flush her weight woes down the drain – literally!
After packing on 30 pounds, the “Toxic” singer plans to copy the late “Some Like It Hot” sexpot Marilyn Monroe and use enemas to shed her excess baggage, sources tell The ENQUIRER.
“Britney will do anything to avoid working out and eating sensibly to slim down,” said an insider.
“She started doing research about creative ways to lose weight and read that Marilyn Monroe swore by enemas to keep her figure.
“Britney has always idolized Marilyn. To her, Marilyn was the ultimate beauty who managed to indulge herself while still looking about how Marilyn relied on enemas, she figured to maybe give it a try.”
As The ENQUIRER has reported, Britney started packing on pounds after shunning her home gym in favor of scarfing down greasy take-out foods and gulping calorie-rich sodas and coffee drinks.
Desperate to cover up her flab, the 32-year-old mother of two has used wardrobe tricks while performing onstage during her Las Vegas show, “Piece of Me,” at Planet Hollywood, say sources.
She wears a one-piece leotard made from shaping material to cover her bulging belly and flesh-colored tights to help tighten her flabby thighs, the sources add.
While Britney thinks enemas may be an easy fix for her weight woes, pals fear she could be playing with fire, especially since some claim Marilyn’s “suicide” at age 36 in August 1962 was actually a murder caused by a poisoned enema.
And experts warn that overusing enemas can lead to a loss of electrolytes and cause dehydration.
“This is the problem with Britney,” said the insider. “She’s so impressionable and impulsive that she dives into things head first instead of erring on the side of caution.”
Another insider added: “If and when Britney does decide to use enemas for weight loss, I’m sure she’ll be careful to choose a safe method. But at the end of the day, quick fixes like this aren’t the solution to her weight troubles.
“Britney would be better off eating a balanced diet and heading to the gym, which would be a whole lot healthier and far less uncomfortable.”
