Comedian ELLEN DEGENERES is terrified she’ll meet her maker after suffering a killer coronary!
The secret medical drama has sparked yet another crisis in the 57-year-old talk show host’s marriage to Portia de Rossi, sources dished to The National ENQUIRER.
“Ellen’s got it in her head that she’s going to die from a massive heart attack,” a close pal told The ENQUIRER. “It’s driving Portia crazy, and adding even more stress to their troubled marriage.”
According to the insider, Ellen’s obsession with succumbing to a coronary has been bubbling since she suffered chest pains during a meeting on Sept. 26, 2011.
Emergency services from the Burbank Fire Department rushed to Ellen’s aid after a member of her staff called 911.
Later, Ellen brushed off the incident on her show, declaring: “First of all, I’m fine. Let me just say, I’m fine. The paramedics were strippers that I had called. That’s how the rumors got started.”
But The ENQUIRER has learned it wasn’t an isolated incident: She’d also been rushed to the hospital in March 2000 with heart palpitations.
After that incident, Ellen underwent a battery of tests, and even wore a heart monitor for a day. But since then, she still “hasn’t learned to handle stress,” added the source.
“She routinely rages at underlings and takes her frustrations out on the staff,” divulged the insider. “She once tossed a bottle of water across a room because it wasn’t cold enough, nearly hitting a person!”
Internist Dr. Stuart Fischer, who has not treated Ellen, told The ENQUIRER: “She needs to have her blood pressure checked immediately. Under tremendous stress, a blood clot can form and cause a heart attack.
“For Ellen, screaming at people is not the proper therapy. She better learn to relax before it’s too late!”
