Andrew Young, the former loyalist who lied to protect John Edwards‘s extramarital affair while running for President has received and rejected of offers of "gigantic amounts of money" for the Edwards – Hunter sex tape.
Appearing on 20/20 last week to promo tell all, Young confirmed what The Enquirer previously reported that he had found an explicit sex tape involving the disgraced politico and then pregnant Rielle Hunter. Young said he found the tape in a book sitting in a heap of trash.
Hunter last week won a temporary restraining order in a North Carolina court demanding Young return a 2006 video "of a very private and personal nature" she claims is rightfully hers. There are said to be two other videos and photos Huner claims were downloaded from her personal laptop.
The former Edwards mistress also has filed a lawsuit against Young and his wife, seeking a jury trial and damages for invasion of privacy.
Yet the Youngs were complicit in caring for the pregnant videographer when on the run from the media fueled by campaign money by the late Fred Baron and Kennedy pal heiress Bunny Mellon.
Mellon was approached recently by John Edwards for additional funds as he was separated from his wife Elizabeth and said to be "broke".
When Young was asked if he planned to turn off the tape as per Hunter’s demands, he said he’d let his" lawyers handle that."
A Feb. 8 hearing has been set on Hunter’s motion for an injunction against Young.
