According to a new book by Obama’s campaign manager disgraced Presidential candidate John Edwards tried to cut a secret deal with Barack Obama in exchange for the VP nomination.
David Plouffe who managed Obama’ campaign to victory reveals in his new book The Audacity to Win that Edwards camp made the offer before the South Carolina primary when Hillary Clinton and Obama were battling toe-to-toe and that Edwards believed he had "maximum leverage" to help deliver the South to whoever gave him the Number 2 spot on the Presidential ticket.
Plouffe doesn’t mention in the book that The ENQUIRER had already outed Edwards as having an affair with Rielle Hunter and had named him as the father of her baby which may have factored into Obama nixing the deal. But as you may recall the mainstream media ignored the ENQUIRER’s exclusive reports until Edwards himself admitted the affair on national TV.
"All things being equal, John prefers Barack," Plouffe writes in the book. "They should announce they are joining forces and will run as a ticket. Edwards can vouch for Obama with blue-collar and Southern whites and is running on a change ticket."
According to the book, Obama wouldn’t make concessions for an Edwards endorsement and then suggests Hillary Clinton‘s campaign would’ve OK’ed a VP deal.
Plouffe writes Obama and Edwards discussed the proposed deal one-on-one.
But as The ENQUIRER reported previously Edwards own camp had another plan if Edwards had been nominated – they had devised a Doomsday scenario designed to wreck his chances since they knew that their chief could easily be caught in an ever expanding web of lies.
