Just when it appeared John Edwards’ life couldn’t get any more disastrous, he’s touched off an explosive new feud between his dying wife Elizabeth and the mother of his love child.
The disgraced former presidential candidate is accompanying his dying wife on a sentimental trip to Japan, and that’s enraged his mistress Rielle Hunter, say insiders.
When informed of the trip, "she flew into a jealous rage," a close source told The ENQUIRER.
"She doesn’t trust John, and she told him so."
Despite Elizabeth’s criticism against John, Rielle believes she "will try whatever it takes to win John back," said the source.
Sadly, Elizabeth, 61, is losing her battle with stage 4 breast cancer.
She’s traveling to Japan – where she lived for nine years when her dad was a Navy pilot – and will visit old friends and special places from her childhood and high school years "before it’s too late," says the source.
