DUNST NO DOPE SAYS SHE

KIRSTEN DUNST took the stand in a Manhattan courtroom yesterday and testified she doesn't smoke marijuana.
Dunst was a witness at the retrial of a man accused of stealing her purse from a penthouse suite at the SoHo Grand hotel.
Accused thief James Jimenez says he was at the hotel with a pal who was selling drugs-and had suggested that Dunst was a customer.
Dunst denied it but told jurors, "I know she smoked pot," even though the judge had ruled she didn't have to answer.
The defense attorney Robert Parker then fired off a bizarre round of questions at Dunst
"Did you ever publicly state that marijuana should be legal?" Parker demanded, and then asked if she knew the late scientist/author Carl Sagan.
The reference to Sagan was drawn from a much publicized account where Kirsten had the Cosmos guru had smoked pot, and that the world would be a better place if "everyone smoked weed."
The judge said that line of questioning was irrelevant and ordered it stricken.
