Former crackhead WENDY WILLIAMS' been there, smoked THAT, wants to help KHLOE K troubled hubby.
WITH her drug demons behind her, talk-show host Wendy Williams is reaching out to troubled Lamar Odom, sources say.
Williams has spoken openly about her 10 years as a crack cocaine addict, and insiders say she’s anxious to help Khloe Kardashian’s estranged husband Lamar, who’s reportedly battling the same addiction.
“I met Lamar when my husband and I were shopping in Los Angeles,” Williams said recently.
“After he left, he called in his credit card to pay for our stuff. I know Lamar’s kindness, and share his struggle with substance abuse.”
A source close to the talk-show host added: “Wendy has asked me to put word out on the streets of Hollywood that she’s there for Lamar, whether he wants to come on her program or just meet privately.”
Williams, 49, claims she descended into a drug hell between the ages of 20 and 30 when she was a successful shock jock on New York radio station Hot 97.
“I was addicted to cocaine – crack cocaine,” she revealed. “Cooking it, getting it in the Bronx. This was before cell phones, waiting, just like a real fiend – waiting on Jerome Avenue at three o’clock in the morning as a single woman with a thriving career in New York.”
Williams eventually kicked her addiction after meeting the man who became her first husband, and says she’s grateful to be alive.
“It’s been almost 15 years since I last smoked from a crack pipe,” Williams – who also has her own line of wigs and jewelry – said last year.
“Thank God I never got stopped by the cops to shame my family, myself or lose my job. And thank God I never got raped, robbed, or killed in an alley. Thank God my heart never palpitated to the point where I was found dead in my apartment.”
