Charlie Sheen will be returning to “The Dr. Oz Show” to discuss the “mistakes” that have changed his life, and Dr. Oz reveals that he’s committed to “chasing a cure for Charlie” — who may be bipolar.

Charlie, 50, has not been diagnosed as bipolar, “but has has manic episodes,” Dr. Mehmet Oz told People. “There is a mania to what he does. I actually connected him to a world-expert psychiatrist in bipolar, and they are talking. He just came for the day, and we [filmed] it. He’s actually making inroads.

“If he doesn’t banish this, he’s going to keep making the same mistakes he’s been making,” Dr. Oz explained. “He’s chasing a cure for HIV, and I’m chasing a cure for Charlie.”

Dr. Oz is, of course, concerned about Charlie’s HIV status — which was revealed to the world by The National ENQUIRER — but said the former “Two and a Half Men” star needs to get his head on straight, too.

“He knows that he’s done terrible things,” Dr. Oz noted. “I pushed him about that on today’s show. And he said, ‘Sometimes I feel possessed.’

“He’s made mistakes that have changed his life. But if you deal with whatever is happening in your head, you’re [going to be] a better father, a better husband, you’re better in your work,” the TV doctor said.

However, as serious as the situation is, there definitely is hope for Charlie — and Dr. Oz can see that the “Major League” actor has made progress already!

“It’s been a complete, 180-degree change,” Dr. Oz raved. “He’s not out of the woods yet, but it’s a very different experience than it would have been six months ago. He went through a dark period.”

The road ahead for the “Anger Management” star is a long and winding one. Asked what other issues Charlie might have, the doc responded: “Sex addict, gambling, sex, rage and drugs and alcohol.”
