DOUGLAS SON METH GUILTY PLEA

description

The son of actor Michael Douglas and grandson of Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas,   Cameron Douglas plead guilty to dealing large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine from a chi-chi Manhattan hotel where he was busted July 28, 2009.

Cameron told the judge he had been supplying drugs since 2001 after being informally asked by a druggie pal.

After that, "I began supplying on a regular basis." Douglas admitted.

A criminal complaint drawn up by  DEA agents last year said the allegations were based on provided by three unnamed crystal meth users ,dealers acting as informants . The users had all pleaded guilty, agreeing to cooperate with the investigation as squealers.

Investigators say Douglas was paid tens of thousands of dollars for trafficking methamphetamine – what he referred to in captured phone calls by feds as "pastry" or "bath salts." Cash and drugs were routinely exchanged coast to coast via FedEx, the court papers said.

In addition to conspiracy charges to distribute drugs, Douglas pleaded guilty to heroin possession.

This charge stemmed from allegations that his dopey GF tried to smuggle the opiate in an electric toothbrush to him while he was in police custody.

He faces a minimum 10-year prison term at sentencing on April 27.
