DOG PUT DOWN – HARD!

description

The wife of Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman is keeping him on a short leash during their joint book tour!

Just weeks after The ENQUIRER reported Beth Chapman threatened to kick Dog out of their home after a furious fight, eyewitnesses say she tormented him mercilessly during a book signing in New York City.

"It was pretty clear to everyone that Beth is still rubbing their personal problems in Dog’s face," someone who attended the March 19 event at Borders Wall Street told The ENQUIRER.

"Beth cracked to the crowd, ‘Meet the Bickersons – you’re going to get a live show today!’ Dog only shook his head without saying a word.

"Then she seemed upset that Dog was taking so long to sign books, saying, ‘I’m supposed to be leaving right now to go shopping, but he’s holding me up so I don’t go spend his money!’"

In our Feb. 1 issue, we reported that Beth unleashed a two-day, high-volume stream of profanity on Dog during a domestic war at their home in Oahu, Hawaii.

The couple reportedly smoothed things over, but the eyewitness at the bookstore said: "Whatever Dog did or didn’t do, he’s apparently still paying big-time."

And while the couple’s new book Where Mercy Is Shown, Mercy Is Given is billed as nonfiction, The ENQUIRER has found it’s chock-full of fibs.

The biggest whopper is Dog’s claim that an ENQUIRER reporter threatened to publish photos of his daughter Barbara Katie’s body after she died in a drug-related car crash in Alaska.

"I threatened the man," Dog writes, "saying I’d hunt him down and kill him with my bare hands if they printed those photos."

Let us set the record straight – there were no photographs and no threats, from either The ENQUIRER or Dog.
