DOG “THE COWARD” vs. “THE GREAT WHITE DOPE” DR. PHIL

description

Bizarre feud between  "Dog" the Bounty Hunter Chapman and  Dr. Phil explodes with taunting  vehemence.

Dog aka Duane Chapman is furious that America’s most famous TV therapist branded him a "coward." And now he’s looking for payback.

Lashing out at Dr. Phil recently on Chelsea Lately show, Dog growled: "He’s kind of the Great White Dope to me." And he’s also slammed the TV icon as an "arrogant jerk."

The feud ignited shortly after The ENQUIRER exclusively revealed a tape of Dog repeatedly using the "N-word"in a conversation with his son Tucker. Dr. Phil wanted Chapman to appear on his show – but was turned down.

"Producers from Dr. Phil repeatedly called to see if I would be willing to appear with two leaders of the African-American community, T.D. Jakes and Al Sharpton," Dog writes in his new book, Where Mercy Is Shown, Mercy Is Given. "Dr. Phil went on the air and called me a coward.

"No one does that to me without some type of fight, so I started referring to Dr. Phil as the ‘Great White Dope’ in all my interviews.

"Dr. Phil wanted the drama of a confrontation between honorable men and a supposed racist, all in the name of television ratings. I wasn’t going to serve as his puppet."

The therapist told Larry King that Dog had skipped his show because "Dr. Phil asks hard questions."

He claimed: "We called and asked him to come on the show. We got every excuse you can possibly imagine from his people."

Concluded Dr. Phil: "I think he ducked the interview.

"Although he had said he wanted the dialogue to make amends, he sure ducked the best chance he could ever hope for if he was sincere."

Dog has protested long and loudly that he is not a racist and his offensive remarks were misunderstood.

But Dr. Phil insists if the bounty hunter wants forgiveness for his mistake, "you’ve got to step up and own it. He’s got to admit that it is wrong, that there’s not an excuse, that he’s not a victim. Own it, and then move on."

Dog claimed on Chelsea Lately he was unaware Dr. Phil wanted him to appear on his show.

But in his book, Dog says he reached out to the Rev. Al Sharpton, and Sharpton asked him to appear with him at an anti-gun rally that would include Dr. Phil.

"That Great White Dope? What a (bleep)," Dog exploded. "I’ll go to the rally, but I’m not getting anywhere near that arrogant jerk!"
