Duane “Dog” Chapman is heading back to televsion! A&E announced production has resumed on Chapman’s reality series Dog The Bounty Hunter after being shut down in November. On Oct. 31, The ENQUIRER released audio tape of Dog Chapman spewing foul-mouthed racist slurs directed at his son Tucker’s girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black.
“Since the premise of Dog The Bounty Hunter is about second chances — we have decided to give him one,” A&E said in a statement. “Over the last few months, Duane “Dog” Chapman has taken and continues to take the appropriate steps in reaching out to several African American organizations in an effort to make amends for his private comments to his son which were released publicly.
No airdate has yet been scheduled for the show’s return.
