DIE-HARD FAN BILL MURRAY READY TO COMMIT HARI-KARI OVER CUBS’ SNAFU

Devoted Cubs fan Bill Murray was crying foul after he paid $2,000 for a special satellite dish to watch his beloved baseball team in the play-offs — and all he got was a screen full of snow!

The funnyman, in Italy filming the movie, “The Life Aquatic,” gladly coughed up the dough as soon as it looked like the Chicago Cubs, who last played in the World Series in 1945, had a chance to go all the way.

“Bill’s a huge Cubs fan,” said a source. “He was beside himself because he couldn’t switch on the TV in Italy and get the games. So when a guy told him he could hook him up, he thought his prayers had been answered.”

Unfortunately, when game day came, the screen was full of static, the con man was long gone and Bill was out two grand.

The actor was furious — but not about the cash.

“Money is just money,” he told the pal. “The Cubs are my heart and soul.”
