World’s oldest teenager DICK CLARK teams with ELVIS PRESLEY and JOHN BELUSHI in free virtual gaming experience for folks over 40!
Dick Clark, the American Bandstand music kingpin and entertainment icon will be the host of the gaming experience that will be made available free online.
However, if you want to BE Dick, his avatar can be purchased so you can interact with other cleebs of the past in the Tron-like free-for-all of Hollywood’s golden age.
The Dick avatar will be “Dick Classic” looking like he did back in the 1970s, The Hollywood Reporter revealed.
The launch of Entertainment Games’ Retro World social casual game launches next month on Facebook.
The Emmy Award-winning TV and radio host will will serve as the tutorial guide for the growing segment of gamers over 40 that the game developer is targeting with this new social game experience.
“The idea of using past images of myself to guide players through a current online social game is a very innovative approach that I found intriguing," said Clark. "I look forward to serving as your host on this nostalgic and ground-breaking gaming experience."
Dick joins other entertainment icons like Elvis Presley and John Belushi in the free-to-play game, which debuts first on Facebook and then will expand to Google+, the Web and mobile devices.
Retro World offer baby boomer gamers a series of episodic adventure games set in the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s, starting with the ’60s era “Owl Files”.
The game will also offer trivia games and mini-games.
The use of Clark’s image and classic motifs from American Bandstand, New Years Rocking Eve, 100,000 Pyramid and more is being licensed through Dick Clark Productions, natch.
